Can I preview a course before enrolling?
Yes. Every course detail page includes a free preview lesson, the full curriculum, requirements, learning outcomes, the instructor profile, and student reviews, so you know exactly what you are getting before you pay.
Are there any free courses?
Yes. Some courses are completely free. Look for the "Free" badge, or use the Price filter set to Free on the Courses page. Free courses require only an account; no payment details are needed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe checkout. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Prices are shown in the currency you pick from the switcher in the top bar.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. All payments run through Stripe over an encrypted (TLS) connection and are PCI-DSS compliant. VeoLMS never sees or stores your full card number.
Do you accept coupons or discount codes?
Yes. Open the course you want and use the "Have a coupon?" field in the purchase card, then press Apply. The reduced price and the amount you save are shown before you pay, and you can remove the code again. Codes are issued either by the instructor for their own course or by an admin, may take off a percentage or a fixed amount, and can carry an expiry date or a limited number of uses. You need to be signed in to apply one, and a code cannot bring a paid course down to nothing.
What is your refund policy?
Refund windows are set per course. A paid course is refundable within the refund window shown on that course page, which is 30 days by default, provided you have not worked through a significant portion of the content. The window that applies to you is the one that was in effect on the day you bought, so a later change by the instructor cannot shorten it. Some courses state that they offer no refunds, and that is shown before you pay. See the Refund Policy page for full details.
How do I request a refund?
Go to My Courses in your student area and choose "Request refund" on the course, then describe your reason. Track the request under Refunds in the same area, where it moves from Pending to Approved, Refunded, or Rejected. A rejection comes with a note explaining why. The course instructor or an admin reviews it. When a paid course is approved the money is returned to your original payment method through Stripe and your access to that course ends. You can have one open request per enrollment at a time.
Do I get lifetime access after buying a course?
Yes. Once you enroll in a paid course you keep access to it (and any future updates the instructor publishes) from your student dashboard, unless a specific access period is stated on the course.
Can I save courses for later?
Yes. The heart button on a course page adds it to your wishlist, and everything you have saved is listed under Wishlist in your student area. If you are not signed in the list is kept in your browser and moves onto your account the next time you log in. It is a save-for-later list: you still enroll in one course at a time from its course page.
Will my progress be saved if I stop watching?
Yes. The player automatically saves your position, so when you return you can resume the exact lesson and timestamp where you left off, from any device.
How is video delivered?
Course videos are hosted by VeoLMS and streamed adaptively in small chunks (HLS), so playback starts fast and adjusts to your connection, with no third-party links required.
Can I learn on mobile and desktop?
Yes. VeoLMS is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops. Your enrollments and progress stay in sync across all your devices.
Are there quizzes, and do they affect my progress?
Lessons can include multiple-choice quizzes, which appear beneath the video once you are enrolled. You get your score and an explanation for every question the moment you submit, and you can retake a quiz as often as you like; each attempt is kept. There is no pass mark: quizzes are practice. Your course progress and your certificate depend on completing lessons, not on quiz scores.
Is there a community around a course?
Yes. Each course you are enrolled in opens into a learning room with three community tabs alongside the lessons: a course feed where the instructor posts announcements you can like and comment on, a group chat shared by everyone taking that course, and a workshops tab listing scheduled live sessions with the join link. Chat is per course rather than private messaging, and workshops run on the meeting link the instructor provides rather than inside VeoLMS.
Does VeoLMS use AI?
Some courses do. Instructors connect their own AI provider account, and when they switch it on their course gains a Tutor tab in the learning room. The tutor answers only from that course's own sections and lessons, and says so plainly when a topic is not covered rather than inventing an answer. Instructors set a daily question limit per student, 20 by default. On the creator side, AI helps draft course outlines, lesson descriptions, learning outcomes, SEO text, and quiz drafts, all of which the instructor reviews and edits before publishing. A course with no Tutor tab simply has not enabled it.
Do students receive certificates?
Yes. Once you have completed every lesson in a course you can download a certificate of completion from the learning room, alongside the progress tracking in your student dashboard.
Can an employer verify my certificate?
Yes. Every certificate carries a 12-character Certificate ID, printed on the PDF together with a verification link. Anyone who follows that link, or enters the ID on the certificate verification page, sees a confirmation without needing an account. The page shows only the learner name, the course title, the issue date, and the ID.
How do I become a creator?
Sign up and choose "I want to create" on the registration page (or use the "Become a Creator" link). You will get a creator workspace to build courses, upload your own videos and thumbnails, manage lessons, and message your students.
How and when do instructors get paid?
You earn the course price minus the platform fee, which is 20% by default. Earnings are held until a sale has passed its refund window (30 days by default), so that an approved refund never has to be clawed back after you have been paid. Depending on how the platform is configured, your share either settles directly to your connected Stripe account at the time of sale, or is collected by VeoLMS and sent on by an admin to the payout destination you have saved. Every individual sale and its status is listed under Sales in your creator workspace.
How do I contact support?
Use the Contact page to send us a message, and we usually respond within one business day. Teachers and students can also message each other inside a course.
